MAtriX 4

I never knew there had been so much discussion on the topic of having a 4th matrix Movie.

It seems a lot of people didn't like the idea, and the studio heads were against it. I tell you though, it wouldn't be a bad idea. The underground fan base is huge and I think it would be received well if done right and with finesse.

Here is my idea for a plot synopsis;

Mostly sequel/continuation-summation, part prequel.

The time frame is 40 years after the end of Revolutions. Locke is dead, Morpheus now sits on the council and is an old man and is married to Niobe who is an old woman but of course still hot. The truce created by Neo (Many would like to think 'Peace", but the tension of future conflict continues to exist) has brought about a scientific renaissance in Zion. Since 01 exists around the Arabian desert area, Zion is within hovercraft distance putting it roughly 600 to 1000 miles away. I like to imagine that it is near St Petersburg, Russia. and that the mountains Neo and Trinity flew over to get to 01 were the Caucuses.

Due to this renaissance, Zion has flourished and has established satellite colonies and a population explosion has increased the total numbers of humans to about 1.25 million. One of the scientific efforts of both Zion and the Machines is to develop near earth orbital flight and possibly space travel to escape the ravaged planet for humans; and to expand beyond earth for machines (being not limited to oxygen breathing environments). In the efforts to advance this goal and expand new colonies. explorers of Zion unearth documents from a previous site of human habitation. Within these documents are evidence of the "Dark Star" projects and technical papers and how to reverse it, including a small seed bank/dna storage for restoring Earth to it's former state.

Once the Matrix had been rebooted due to Neo's efforts, the Machines along with the Architect re-designed it somewhat to resemble a more futuristic world than what is shown in the original movies (Standard future world with slant on obvious impossible technologies [It's all computer generated anyway so why not?]) Within these documents are the journals of the original "One" referred to by Morpheus in Matrix 1 (cut to storyline on how the first Zion was built. Him waking up in the on a wall with other humans strapped in (no tanks this time). his recovery, learning to hack in, waking others.

Armed with knowledge on how to reverse the scorched sky. They realize that they must finally and completely destroy the machines or with the re-appearance of the sun the whole cycle would restart. A New Hero arises from the groups of explorers, who with his band of adventurers... take the info back to the council asking to begin work on a plan to cripple 01 and bring about the downfall of machine civilization. Using technologies developed in secret similar to the "lightning guns" used previously they slowly encroach upon 01 using dampening stations designed to disable all electronic equipment in front of it (think portable EMP generators that are always on). They begin to decrease the territory available to Machines causing the world of the Matrix to disintegrate and waking more and more people out of their sleep induced prisons. This causes the resurgence of religious doom saying and prophesying the coming apocalypse as this future society begins to crumble and show signs of decay within the Matrix. The Machines, unable to combat this new threat, begin to fear for their existence. and start plans for an Ark to be used to flee to some other planet in the solar system (Mars!? Moon? Mercury?)

As time passes, we see that humans have in earnest taken the war to the Machines and have begun to infiltrate 01. While others protest, saying that we should learn to live with the machines, but since the current political atmosphere is Hawk, we go to WAR! We cut again to the original one adding to his journals that one day the choice will have to be made as to who the Earth belongs to, us or the Machines, as he lays it in with the other documents and such to be found later he hopes to be used for the occasion our movie is about. Our hero has a showdown with the manifestation of the Architect as he exists in the real world, while they are attempting to plant a super nuke type bomb to destroy 01. The Architect is destroyed, and as the humans flee to prepare for the explosion (of course one must stay behind to sacrifice themselves) we notice our hero and a few of his strike team see three lonely ships blast off into space. 01 blows up and the machine city is destroyed as the survivors are hunted down. The Matrix is dismantled, many are saved but many die at the destruction of the mainframe. All cheer! Some cry. Whoo Ho! Wah Wah. and Morpheus has his moment of pride in our Hero seeing the similarities to Neo in him. (Our Hero could be "the kid" from Matrix 3?)

Epilogue:
Another 40 years has passed and we see humans working in a field under a setting sun along with animals. Our Hero is now the old man and is married and has kids of his own. some machines are being used as farm implements but mostly hand tools and other props befitting an agrarian setting. We cut one last time to the original "one" making preparations to sacrifice himself to save the first Zion and saying to his people. "Our fight is not in vain. no struggle is ever in vain. The courage you show today, though it may cost your lives, gives hope to those who come after." Cut back to our hero speaking to his son. looking up and a darking sky with a small red dot(Mars) or moon, and saying "Our fight was not in vain". Pan out to space zooming to mars where we see what looks like habitation. (Where will it all end moment?)

Cut to credits and Fin.

Now if I see this movie, I'm suing!
